Projects with MDI-DE participation

TrilaWatt

The TrilaWatt project (Digital Hydromorphological Twin of the Trilateral Wadden Sea) extends the study area of EasyGSH-DB to the entire area of the Trilateral Wadden Sea World Heritage Site and performs comparable analyses for the years 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020.

In terms of information technology, an assistance system for automated data processing for reporting obligations will be established and integrated into the MDI-DE-infrastructure.

EasyGSH-DB

With the project EasyGSH-DB (Generation of user-oriented synoptic reference data on geomorphology, sedimentology and hydrodynamics in the German Bight) datasets and services on bathymetry, sedimentology (1996, 2006, 2016), hydrodynamics as well as tidal characteristics of current, water level, bottom shear stress and salinity were generated for the years 1996 – 2016. BAW offers these products on a permanent basis.

AufMod

In the AufMod project (Aufbau von integrierten Modellsystemen zur Analyse der langfristigen Morphodynamik in der Deutschen Bucht / Development of integrated model systems for the analysis of long-term morphodynamics in the German Bight), bathymetry data for the German Bight (1982-2012) were generated and processed as services by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency.
